Back The 2025 edition of Let's Stop Polluting has concluded.
The 2025 edition of 'Let's Stop Polluting!', BPER's initiative to promote sustainable mobility among employees, encouraging them to commute to the office by bicycle, on foot, or on a scooter, concluded with growing numbers.
Developed in collaboration with the Wecity platform, this year's initiative involved 430 employees between July and September, covering a total of 61,532 kilometers and saving 8.6 tons of CO₂. This achievement is equivalent to the annual absorption of over 1,231 mature trees.
In addition to measuring CO₂ savings, estimated at approximately 1 kg for every 7 km traveled, the Wecity platform allowed for real-time monitoring of routes traveled, certification of kilometers traveled, and encouragement through individual and regional rankings.
"This year's edition demonstrates how gamification tailored specifically to the corporate environment allows for greater employee engagement and a significant reduction in CO2 emissions. By rewarding cycling frequency, rather than just mileage, ridership has doubled. Travel-related changes have also been significant," said Paolo Ferri, founder and CEO of Wecity.
The initiative's results are part of the initiatives planned for the twentieth edition of the European Sustainable Mobility Week, scheduled for September 16-22, 2025.
This year's success is a concrete demonstration of how collective commitment can translate into real benefits for the environment and the community.
Initiatives like 'Let's Stop Polluting!' help us spread a culture of sustainability that starts with the individual and extends throughout the entire organization.
