The Vademecum:
what is it and what is it for?

The Vademecum is a concrete tool that BPER makes available to people to make them aware of the main aspects of economic violence, to support people in recognising the phenomenon and to help women who suffer it to regain (or build) their relationship with money and with banks.

Economic violence:
what does it mean?

Defined as control or limitation of a person's financial resources, economic violence manifests itself through coercive behaviour that reduces economic autonomy, influenced by stereotypes or cultural dynamics.

Anti-violence centres: what do they do?

The centres of the D.i.Re - Donne in Rete contro la violenza network provide legal and psychological support for women victims of violence, offering empowerment paths and economic support. A contact for emergency situations and a 24-hour helpline (1522) are provided.

What does the Bank offer?
Access to banking facilities can be a real tool for emancipation.
In the Vademecum we suggest services, intervention actions and monitoring in the use of banking services to support the autonomy of all and in particular of victims of economic violence.
