The initiative by the Strega Prize reading panel at BPER has brought a breath of fresh air to a world where literature is increasingly discussed in terms of the market and competition.
Culture, however, is about sharing, especially when it reaches as many places as possible, connecting them in different and new ways.

A jury for the Strega Prize at BPER

In a video interview, Loredana Lipperini recounts her experience as chair of the reading jury for the Strega Prize at BPER. This initiative involved the bank’s staff in reading, discussing and evaluating the nominated works, giving them the opportunity to contribute to the awarding of the prize through their votes. Her account highlights a key aspect essential to the success of any project: the value of participation.

The spark that gives rise to stories

Michele Mari won the 2026 Strega Prize with *I convitati di pietra*. We interviewed him, along with the other finalist authors, during one of the stops on the Strega Tour, the initiative that takes them to meet readers across Italy. The conversation was sparked by an idea that holds particular significance for BPER: the spark, that moment capable of transforming an intuition into something tangible and shared.

Literature can also be listened to

‘Cose (molto) preziose’, ‘Pensieri in volo’ and ‘Romanzi nel tempo’ are three podcasts that transform books, stories and words into opportunities for dialogue, deeper understanding and discovery. Through conversations, reflections and fresh perspectives, they invite listeners to approach reading in a different way, making literature an accessible and engaging experience that extends beyond the pages.
