Let's discover the SDGs together with Alan Cappelli Goetz
Alan is an actor, creator and environmental activist. The right person to help BPER Banca in spreading culture and awareness towards environmental issues.
But what are the SDGs?
The UN has indicated 17 Goals to ensure a prosperous future for humanity and the planet. They are called SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
Each of us can apply it, every reality, company and individual can use them as a compass for a better future.
Commitment to the SDGs
The Global Agenda for Sustainable Development (Agenda 2030), approved by the United Nations in September 2015, identified the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 Targets as the path to sustainability for countries and organisations around the world. Each of us can apply them, each reality, company and individual can use them as a compass for a better future. Here, with the help of Alan Cappelli Goetz, we tell you about those to which we intend to contribute with our commitment.
Every step towards reducing fossil fuels and adopting innovative energy solutions brings us closer to a greener and more prosperous future for all.
Each of us can apply ourselves, every reality, company and individual, to act in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
Every step towards reducing fossil fuels and adopting innovative energy solutions brings us closer to a greener and more prosperous future for all.
Earth Day 2024
On the occasion of Earth Day we activated a social campaign aimed at all of us, in which in addition to summarizing the main objectives achieved during 2023 (DCNF data source from BPER Banca), we shared tips and commitments for both companies and single individuals. Because a spark alone can't do much, but many sparks together can light up the future, together.
Earth Day 2024
Our earth is dying and, we know, a single spark is not enough to lead to a better future. Many sparks together yes.

As of 31 December 2024, we have installed 14 photovoltaic systems, producing 1,713,809 kWh; reduced electricity and heat consumption: -0.9% compared to 2023.
Charging stations for electric cars, electric bicycles and repair kits, dedicated car sharing apps for employees, company electric cars, company shuttles, offsetting emissions from fuels used with DKV card climate are available to people working at BPER.
Sustainability Awareness
Here is an overview of the initiatives:
Awareness-raising for sustainability
We carry out a path to raise awareness among the People of the BPER Group on sustainability issues, actively involving all levels of the organisation to promote responsible and conscious behaviour. We foster a corporate culture oriented towards environmental protection, inclusiveness and innovation.
Progetti Correlati
On Earth Day 2023, we took the lead together with WWF Italy and our customers in the "Valore Oasi" project. Thanks to fund raising we helped to protect and maintain two important Italian oases.
La gestione dei rischi
Regarding the assessment of environmental and climate risks with financial impact, we did a physical risk, transition risk, and carbon footprint assessment of the Bank's own credit (Corporate) and investment portfolios. These studies allow us to assess the potential business implications of climate and environmental risks, and to inform stakeholders on how the organization is positioning itself in light of these risks.
