Through its support for Radici Future, BPER reaffirms its commitment to local areas and communities, recognising that inland and mountain regions possess a wealth of relationships, skills and identities that deserve to be nurtured. 
The collaboration on this project of research, listening and engagement, promoted in partnership with the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation, stems from a desire to foster pathways of sustainable development capable of bringing culture, the economy and social cohesion into dialogue, with the aim of (re)generating opportunities and new prospects.
 

The project comprises three distinct phases:
- A study and research initiative led by an authoritative, interdisciplinary scientific committee comprising: Gabriele Pasqui, Andrea Membretti, Gabriela Jacomella and Silvia Di Passio.
- Working groups during which – thanks to the involvement and dialogue between institutions, academics, representatives of the third sector and the managers of BPER branches in the participating towns – the aim is to contribute to the development of local growth strategies in three different areas: Culture in Chiavenna, Economy in Morbegno, and Tourism in Bormio. 
- Production of a final project report compiling the main findings of the research, with the aim of making the knowledge generated transferable.

 

At the end of each day of work and discussion, a public programme of three evening events will be offered, open to all residents:
- Chiavenna: 20 May at 6.30 pm – Teatro della Società Democratica Operaia
Culture that creates. How can we revitalise the identity of places?

- Morbegno: 4 June at 6.30 pm - Auditorium of the former Convent of St Anthony 
Territories that (don’t) matter. How can we revitalise local economies?

- Bormio: 17 June at 6.30 pm - Bormio Terme/Conference Centre
The tourism of tomorrow. What are the possible alternatives?
