Back BPER Banca supports young creatives: the Nino Migliori Photography Award 2025–2026 is launched, focusing on the theme Environment as Quality of Life
BPER Banca renews its commitment to promoting culture and young talent by confirming its sponsorship of the Nino Migliori Photography Award 2025-2026, promoted by the Nino Migliori Foundation and dedicated this year to the theme “Environment as Quality of Life”.
An opportunity for young people and for a conscious look at the present
The unique feature of the Award is that it offers young people a unique opportunity to use photography to express the deep connection between people and the environment, capturing images and feelings that speak of attention, care and community: fundamental elements for the quality of life in our cities and territories.
Until 31 May 2026, each participant can submit up to three photographic works that interpret the theme chosen for this sixteenth edition.
As Nino Migliori points out, "the concept of the environment as an asset to be protected is attributed to the protection of soil, water, air and the biosphere, and it is necessary to be aware that the environment is defined in a relational sense, i.e. that our actions and the processes we implement affect our lives and everything around us. Photography, writing with light, means finding a perspective, a voice capable of representing the historical and cultural conditions that have influenced the environment. A perspective that does not indulge in documenting increasingly frequent catastrophic events, but is attentive to the complexity of the relationships between spaces, landscapes and territory that make up our living environment."
A commitment that has continued since 2009
BPER Banca has been the main partner of the Award since its first edition in 2009. The initiative is aimed at young people aged between 14 and 29 who are enrolled in Italian and foreign schools, institutes, training courses or universities.
Year after year, participation has grown significantly: in the 2024 edition, over 1,000 photographic works were submitted, demonstrating the interest and enthusiasm with which young people approach the culture of the image.
The photographs are evaluated by a committee of experts chaired by Nino Migliori, one of the masters of Italian photography.
