We value writing as a tool for dialogue, culture and social cohesion.

We believe in culture as a driver of growth. In a rapidly changing world, words remain fundamental. They tell us who we are, open up new perspectives and create connections, which is why we support literature and awards that highlight its role in society.

Literary awards

The Strega Prize

For 15 years, we have been the main sponsor of the Strega Prize, one of Italy's most important literary events promoted by the Maria and Goffredo Bellonci Foundation and Liquore Strega, with the contribution of the Rome Chamber of Commerce.
We have supported the award in the evolution of its sections — fiction, fiction for young people and children, poetry, non-fiction and European fiction — with the aim of involving readers of all ages and tastes. 
We also accompany the Strega Tour on all its stops around Italy, promoting a culture that travels and engages in active dialogue with people and territories.

Silent Book Contest
We are sponsors of the competition organised by Carthusia Edizioni, which rewards the best wordless books, told solely through images. A jury of experts and a junior jury made up of children select works that transcend linguistic and cultural barriers, challenging traditional storytelling and transforming the book into a space to be invented and interpreted.
Premio BPER L'Aquila Laudomia Bonanni
For over twenty years, it has celebrated poetry as a living form of expression and memory. Open to authors of all ages, it includes sections for schools, universities, prisons and international voices. It pays tribute to the Aquilan writer Laudomia Bonanni, after whom it is named. We have proudly supported the Award since its first edition, sharing its educational, cultural and social values.
Premio Letterario Rapallo
With a special focus on female authors, the award promotes stories that recount reality with depth, innovation and social commitment, identifying the most influential voices each year. We support this initiative, which continues the tradition of the “National Award for Women Writers” active from 1985 to 2021, promoted by the Municipality of Rapallo.

Taobuk - Taormina Book Festival

We are sponsors of Taobuk, the Taormina International Book Festival, one of Italy's most important literary events, which stands out for its multidisciplinary approach, hosting meetings, debates and presentations involving internationally renowned writers, artists and thinkers.
Within the garden of Palazzo Duchi di Santo Stefano, the BPER Agorà space welcomes moments of discussion and cultural conviviality, where the public can engage directly with authors and guests. A space inspired by the ancient Greek agora, a symbol of democracy, participation and shared thought.
Salerno Letteratura Festival
A key event for Italian culture, dedicated to quality non-fiction and critical thinking. Every year, it brings the historic centre to life with meetings, readings and debates involving essayists, intellectuals and scholars.
We are sponsors of the festival and the Salerno Libro d'Europa Award, which promotes new voices in European fiction, confirming our commitment to a vibrant, inclusive culture that serves as a tool for awareness and change.
Festivaletteratura Mantova
One of Italy's most important cultural events, known for its intimate and engaging atmosphere, brings together authors, publishers and readers of all ages in a rich programme of meetings, readings, performances, workshops and dialogues between literature, music and visual arts in an original and stimulating experience.
For years, we have promoted one of the festival's most popular events for each edition, confirming our commitment to culture as a space for sharing, innovation and collective growth.
InQuiete - Festival di scrittrici a Roma
We support InQuiete, a literary festival that focuses on the words of women – writers, readers and intellectuals – giving voice to female talent in all its forms.
Every year, it offers meetings, dialogues and presentations, from portraits of the great authors of the past to formats dedicated to newcomers, right up to the most current topics. InQuiete is a space for listening and reflection that promotes culture as a tool for critical, inclusive thinking, capable of interpreting a society in transformation.

Lettera Futura Fellowship

A project that looks to the future of writing, promoting the talent of new female writers. Born from a partnership between the MIA Association, organiser of the inQuiete Festival, and the Solferino publishing house, Lettera Futura is a unique fellowship: a programme that accompanies young female authors towards publication and editorial promotion, offering them tools, visibility and concrete opportunities.
We have supported LetteraFutura since its first edition as a testament to our concrete and ever-growing commitment to culture, particularly initiatives that focus on inclusion, gender equality and the promotion of women's talents.

"Incontri con l’Autore” at the BPER Forum: culture for the community

With the ‘Meet the Author’ series, we welcome some of the most significant voices on the Italian cultural scene to the BPER Forum: writers, journalists and thinkers who engage in dialogue with our audience.

The initiative, scheduled for the spring and autumn months, is organised in collaboration with the Ubik bookshop in Modena and with the patronage of the Municipality of Modena.
