Back Target Net Zero: with companies for the energy transition
The BPER Group supports entrepreneurs involved in the energy transition process, both with regards to correct compliance with the new national and European regulations, which establish even more stringent action and reporting parameters, and to allow them to present themselves to the market with competitive sustainability.
The new digital platform "Target Net Zero", provided by the engineering company Bluefoundation, specialized in sustainability and energy, provides SMEs with the tools to calculate their emissions and supports them in drawing up their energy transition plan. This is a project born from the open innovation activity of the BPER Group, coordinated by the Studies, Research and Innovation Office, which directly involved a sample of customers who participated and guided the initial testing phases.
“Target Net Zero” allows, in detail, to:
- • measure the carbon footprint of the SME, i.e. the impact on the environment of the direct and indirect emission of greenhouse gases;
- • define an emissions reduction objective for the company in line with international standards;
- • build an action plan based on improvement interventions with a view to reducing consumption and emissions, identified by energy consultancy experts, based on the best cost/performance synergies;
- • quantify in advance the interventions and investments in technical, economic and sustainability terms;
- • identify providers capable of providing and implementing necessary interventions.
Through this new tool, the BPER Group intends to support SMEs in drawing up their decarbonisation/energy transition plan and accompany them with consultancy and through green financing aligned with the European taxonomy to support the necessary investments.
The proposed solutions take into consideration numerous aspects, such as the sector of operation, the size of the company, the location of the production sites, the energy sources adopted, etc., generating an investment roadmap that identifies a simple, demonstrable and monitorable path.
Marco Gianotti Pret, Chief Operating Officer of Bluefoundation, added: "At Bluefoundation, we believe that SMEs can become leaders in sustainability, thanks to a streamlined structure and with the help of appropriate tools. Target Net Zero is a testimony to our commitment in making decarbonisation accessible and viable for all businesses. By providing the necessary resources, knowledge and tools, we not only help SMEs reduce their carbon footprint, but also enable them to thrive in an “a” economy. low emissions”. Together with BPER and large companies in contact with their supply chains, we can bring significant change and build a sustainable future”.
BPER is always at the forefront in supporting companies in their sustainable transition path. The recent European Directive 'Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive', implemented by our legal system, establishes precise obligations that companies must comply with. This is why it is important for us to be timely in providing the necessary support to companies to adapt to regulations, but also to present themselves to the market with adequate sustainability profiles appreciated by customers and counterparties.
